This Sunday at SLACMorning Worship – 11 AM, As we gather this Sunday, we're looking forward to worshipping together as a church family and continuing our journey through the book of Acts. We're excited to continue our journey through the book of Acts as Pastor Heath shares this week's message, "Would You Persuade Me to Be a Christian?" from Acts 26:1-32. Join us in a time of worship through music as we lift our voices together and create space to refocus our hearts on God and His leading. During the summer months, our Nursery and Kids' Church ministries are taking a seasonal break. Families are invited to pick up one of our Summer Worship Packs from the foyer before the service, filled with colouring pages, activity sheets, crayons, and other quiet activities for children to enjoy during the service. If someone has been on your heart lately, this could be a wonderful Sunday to invite them to join you. We're grateful for each of you and look forward to worshipping together this Sunday! Help Shape the Next Generation
Every Sunday is an opportunity to plant seeds of faith that can last a lifetime. This fall, we're excited to welcome children into our Nursery (ages 0-3) and our newly refreshed Kids' Church (ages 4-11), creating spaces where they can discover God's love, grow in His Word, build lasting friendships, and develop a lifelong faith in Jesus. We're looking for adults and youth (ages 12+) who have a heart to encourage, teach, laugh, play, listen, and walk alongside our youngest members as they grow in Christ. You don't have to be a Bible expert to make an eternal difference. Sometimes the greatest ministry begins with a smile, a listening ear, and a heart that's willing to serve. If God is stirring your heart to invest in the next generation, we'd love to welcome you to our Children's Ministry team. Come discover how your gifts can help children know and follow Jesus. Contact the office (email: info@slavelakealliance.com) for more information or to express interest. |

Morning Bible Study?
We're exploring the possibility of starting a weekday morning Bible study here at SLAC and would love to know if there's interest within our church family. If gathering together during the week to study God's Word, pray, and encourage one another sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you. This isn't a commitment, just an opportunity to help us gauge interest as we consider what a weekly morning Bible study might look like. Would a weekday morning Bible study encourage you in your walk with Christ? We'd love to hear your thoughts! Please let Pastor Heath or the church office know. Trusting God in the Waiting
There are seasons when life feels as though it's standing still. Plans are delayed, answers don't come, and progress seems impossible to see. Paul spent years in prison, moving from one hearing to another, yet God's work had not stopped. What looked like delay was actually God's providence unfolding exactly as He had promised. Every governor, every courtroom, and every conversation brought Paul one step closer to fulfilling God's purpose for his life. The same is often true for us. While we may feel stuck in a difficult season, God is never standing still. He is still shaping our character, opening doors, preparing hearts, and faithfully working behind the scenes in ways we cannot yet see. This week, remember that God's faithfulness isn't measured by how quickly life moves forward. Sometimes His greatest work is happening in the waiting. Even when you can't see God at work, you can trust that He is still writing your story. |

Notice God's Quiet Work
This week, take five quiet minutes at the end of each day to reflect on where you noticed God's faithfulness. It may have been an unexpected conversation. A door that quietly opened. A word of encouragement. A moment of peace in the middle of a difficult day. Or simply the reminder that God was with you, even when nothing seemed to change. Write down just one thing each day. As you look back over the week, you may discover that God has been working in ways you hadn't noticed at first. Pray this simple prayer: "Lord, help me to trust Your work, even when I can't yet see the whole picture." God's providence is often quiet, but it is never absent. |
