This Sunday at SLAC

This Sunday at SLAC

 Morning Worship – 11 AM,

As we gather this Sunday, we're looking forward to worshipping together as a church family and continuing our journey through the book of Acts.

We're excited to continue our journey through the book of Acts as Pastor Heath shares this week's message, "I Appeal to Caesar," from Acts 25:1-27.

Join us in a time of worship through music as we lift our voices together and create space to refocus our hearts on God and His leading.

During the summer months, our Nursery and Kids' Church ministries are taking a seasonal break. Families are invited to pick up one of our Summer Worship Packs from the foyer before the service, filled with colouring pages, activity sheets, crayons, and other quiet activities for children to enjoy during the service.

If someone has been on your heart lately, this could be a wonderful Sunday to invite them to join you.

We're grateful for each of you and look forward to worshipping together this Sunday!

Including a special Baptism Celebration

Join us as we celebrate our Fall Kick-Off with a special Baptism Celebration during the service!

Baptism is a joyful opportunity to publicly declare your faith in Jesus Christ and celebrate the new life He has given.

Have you been thinking about being baptized? We'd love to talk with you. Please connect with Pastor Heath if you're interested or would like to learn more.

Let's come together as a church family to celebrate what God is doing in the lives of His people!

 Morning Bible Study?

Morning Bible Study?

We're exploring the possibility of starting a weekday morning Bible study here at SLAC and would love to know if there's interest within our church family.

If gathering together during the week to study God's Word, pray, and encourage one another sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.

This isn't a commitment, just an opportunity to help us gauge interest as we consider what a weekly morning Bible study might look like.

Would a weekday morning Bible study encourage you in your walk with Christ? We'd love to hear your thoughts!

Please let Pastor Heath or the church office know.

A Faithful Presence

A Faithful Presence

The world is quick to form opinions. Headlines, conversations, and social media often shape how people see one another before they've had the chance to hear the whole story. Paul experienced that firsthand. He was falsely accused, misunderstood, and labelled a troublemaker, not because he had done wrong, but because he faithfully pointed people to Jesus.

As followers of Christ, we're called to live with the same integrity. Our words should be gracious, our actions should reflect the love of Jesus, and our lives should leave little room for accusation. The message of the Gospel may challenge people, but our character should consistently point them toward Christ.

Check Your Witness

Check Your Witness

Before you respond to a difficult conversation, write a comment online, or react in frustration, pause for just a moment and ask yourself:

"Will this reflect Jesus well?"

We can't control how others respond to the Gospel, but we can choose to respond with humility, kindness, and grace. This week, let your attitude become part of your witness. Sometimes the strongest testimony isn't found in what we say, but in how we live.
