This Sunday at SLAC
A new season is underway at SLAC, and this Sunday brings the return of several familiar parts of our Sunday morning together, along with the beginning of something new! Our morning begins at 9:30 AM with Sunday Morning Bible Study, returning after the summer break. Whether you've been part of the group before or would like to join for the first time, you're welcome to come a little earlier and spend time together in God's Word. Then at 11:00 AM, we'll gather for Sunday Morning Worship as Pastor Heath begins our new fall sermon series: Called to Be. What is God Calling Us to Be? Last Sunday, we got our first glimpse of Called to Be. This week, we begin the journey together as we explore what God is calling us to be as His Church, beginning with Community. And there's more returning this Sunday! Nursery and Kids' Church are back for the fall, with newly adjusted age groups. Children will remain with their families for the opening portion of worship and will be dismissed to their ministries before the message. Nursery: Ages 0–3 A lot is beginning this weekend, which makes it a great Sunday to reconnect after the summer, invite someone to come with you, and step into this new season together. Sunday Morning Bible Study • 9:30 AM We look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday! For more infomation visit:

Kids' Ministry Check-InNursery & Kids' Church Return This Sunday! We're excited to welcome our kids back this Sunday! With the start of our fall ministries, we're making one important update to our check-in process. Families with children attending Kids' Church will continue to check in as usual. New this year, we're asking parents with children attending Nursery to check them in as well. Our age groups have also changed this fall: Nursery • Ages 0–3 Checking InCheck-in opens at 10:30 AM, and families are welcome to check in their children before the 11:00 AM service begins. If you don't check in beforehand, that's okay! Children will begin the morning in the sanctuary with their families and will be dismissed before the message. Please escort your children to their ministry rooms. Nursery is located downstairs. If this is your child's first time being checked in, please take a moment to complete all required information so our ministry leaders have the information they need while your child is in their care. We're looking forward to another great year of learning, growing, and having fun together! |

Whether you've been part of a Bible study for years or you're taking your first step into a small group setting, everyone is welcome. YOUTH ALPHA THIS FALL!Big questions. Real conversations. A place to belong. Something new is coming for our youth this fall! Beginning in October, our Youth will be journeying through Alpha Youth, gathering every other Sunday evening to explore some of life's biggest questions together. Alpha Youth creates a welcoming space where young people can come as they are, build friendships, and have honest conversations about life, faith, purpose and Jesus. There's no pressure to have all the answers, and no question is off limits. Each gathering combines connection, engaging content and conversation in an environment where youth can participate, ask questions, share what they think, or simply listen. And this isn't only for youth who already attend church. Alpha Youth is a place to invite a friend. It's for young people who are curious about faith, wrestling with questions, looking for community, or simply wondering whether there might be something more. Sunday evenings • Twice a month
Youth, start thinking about who you could invite to join you! |
