This Sunday at SLACMorning Worship – 11 AM, As we gather this Sunday, we're looking forward to worshipping together as a church family and continuing our journey through the book of Acts. We're excited to continue our journey through the book of Acts as Pastor Heath shares this week's message, "The Defence of a Changed Life: When the Gospel Becomes Your Testimony," from Acts 22:1-29. Join us in a time of worship through music as we lift our voices together and create space to refocus our hearts on God and His leading. During the summer months, our Nursery and Kids' Church ministries are taking a seasonal break. Families are invited to pick up one of our Summer Worship Packs from the foyer before the service, filled with colouring pages, activity sheets, crayons, and other quiet activities for children to enjoy during the service. If someone has been on your heart lately, this could be a wonderful Sunday to invite them to join you. We're grateful for each of you and look forward to worshipping together this Sunday! Summer Kids' Ministry
As summer arrives, our Nursery and Kids' Church ministries will be taking a seasonal break, giving our wonderful volunteers a well-earned opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy the summer months with their families. We are so thankful for each person who faithfully invests their time, energy, and love into the children of our church throughout the year. Their ministry makes a lasting difference, and we're grateful for the care they so generously give each week. While our regular children's programs will pause for the summer, we've prepared Summer Worship Packs for our younger guests! Families will find colouring pages, activity sheets, crayons, and other quiet activities available in the foyer before each service to help children engage during our worship gathering. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Nursery and Kids' Church in the fall as we begin another exciting ministry season together. Until then, we pray your summer is filled with rest, adventure, laughter, and opportunities to grow together as a family. |

Acts in Everyday LifeTrusting God Beyond the Outcome Most of us don't struggle to trust God when the path is clear and the outcome looks promising. The real test comes when following Him leads into uncertainty. Paul knew that going to Jerusalem would bring hardship. His friends loved him deeply and urged him to choose a safer path. Yet Paul had already settled in his heart that obedience to God mattered more than knowing how the story would end. We may never face the same circumstances Paul did, but we all encounter moments where following Christ requires courage. It may be choosing forgiveness when bitterness feels easier, speaking truth with grace, serving quietly without recognition, or trusting God through a season where answers don't come quickly. Following Jesus isn't about avoiding difficult roads. It's about trusting that God remains faithful, even when the path is unfamiliar or the future feels uncertain. Sometimes the clearest evidence of faith isn't knowing where the road leads. It's trusting the One who is leading you. |

Trust the Next Step
Following God's will doesn't always lead us down the easiest path. Sometimes the Holy Spirit makes us aware that the road ahead may be difficult, while those who care about us encourage us to choose the safer option. As Heath reminded us on Sunday, "The warning was divine. The urging was human." Sometimes the challenge isn't knowing God's direction, but trusting Him enough to keep walking. This week, ask yourself: "Where is God asking me to trust Him, even if I can't see the outcome?" Then take one simple step of obedience. • Make the call. As you pray this week, simply ask: "Lord, help me to trust You more than I trust the outcome." Sometimes the hardest path is also the one where God does His deepest work. Keep walking with Him, one faithful step at a time. |
