This Sunday - Midweek Bible Study, Save-the-Date, Next Sunday

Slave Lake Alliance Church
Newsletter for Friday July 10, 2026
This Sunday at SLAC

This Sunday at SLAC

 Morning Worship – 11 AM,

As we gather this Sunday, we're looking forward to worshipping together as a church family and continuing our journey through the book of Acts.

We're excited to continue our journey through the book of Acts as Pastor Heath shares this week's message, "Never Alone," from Acts 22:30-23:35.

Join us in a time of worship through music as we lift our voices together and create space to refocus our hearts on God and His leading.

During the summer months, our Nursery and Kids' Church ministries are taking a seasonal break. Families are invited to pick up one of our Summer Worship Packs from the foyer before the service, filled with colouring pages, activity sheets, crayons, and other quiet activities for children to enjoy during the service.

If someone has been on your heart lately, this could be a wonderful Sunday to invite them to join you.

We're grateful for each of you and look forward to worshipping together this Sunday!

 Morning Bible Study?

Morning Bible Study?

We're exploring the possibility of starting a weekday morning Bible study here at SLAC and would love to know if there's interest within our church family.

If gathering together during the week to study God's Word, pray, and encourage one another sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you.

This isn't a commitment, just an opportunity to help us gauge interest as we consider what a weekly morning Bible study might look like.

Would a weekday morning Bible study encourage you in your walk with Christ? We'd love to hear your thoughts!

Please let Pastor Heath or the church office know.

Call (780-849-3660) or email (info@slavelakealliance.com)

Save the Date Fall Kick-Off September 13

Including a special Baptism Celebration

Join us as we celebrate our Fall Kick-Off with a special Baptism Celebration during the service!

Baptism is a joyful opportunity to publicly declare your faith in Jesus Christ and celebrate the new life He has given.

Have you been thinking about being baptized? We'd love to talk with you. Please connect with Pastor Heath if you're interested or would like to learn more.

Let's come together as a church family to celebrate what God is doing in the lives of His people!

Next Sunday's Service

Next Sunday's Service

Next Sunday, Pastor Heath will be away, and we'll be continuing the Renovate series with Part 2 from Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV).

Please note that next Sunday's service will not be livestreamed, as we'll be sharing a licensed video message during the service.

If you missed Part 1 of the Renovate series back in June, we'd encourage you to watch it before Sunday to help provide the context for this next message.

You can watch it here:

Renovate | Part 1

We look forward to gathering together as we continue exploring how God transforms our lives from the inside out.

Live Your Testimony

Live Your Testimony

Opportunities to reflect Christ often appear in the ordinary moments of our week. A difficult conversation, an unexpected disagreement, or someone asking why you respond differently can become an opportunity to quietly point others toward Jesus.

Like Paul, we are not called to win every argument or control every response. We are called to live with calmness, courage, and grace, trusting that God can use our words, our actions, and even our quiet faithfulness to make an impact far beyond what we can see.

Remember Your Story

Remember Your Story

Set aside a few quiet moments this week to think about your own story with Jesus.

Paul's testimony wasn't simply a list of facts. It was a reminder of who he once was, how Jesus met him, and the new purpose he was given. Your story may look very different, but God has been at work in your life too.

Take a moment to thank God for His faithfulness. Reflect on where He has changed you, where He is still shaping you, and ask Him to give you the courage to live out your faith in the places He has already placed you.
