Mother's Day, Youth Bowling, Special Thanks

Slave Lake Alliance Church
Newsletter for Friday May 8, 2026
We Celebrate You!

We Celebrate You!

This Mother’s Day, we want to pause and celebrate the incredible women who nurture, encourage, guide, sacrifice, and love so deeply.

This weekend, we honour every kind of “mom” story.

To the moms raising children in every season of life…
To the grandmas, bonus moms, adoptive moms, foster moms, and new moms running on coffee and grace…
To the women who have loved and cared for children they did not give birth to…
To the aunts, sisters, mentors, teachers, and spiritual mothers who step into lives with wisdom and compassion…
To those who have experienced loss, grief, strained relationships, heartbreak, or longing…
To those who have chosen a different path, yet still pour love into the people around them…
To the fur baby moms, plant moms, and women whose homes and hearts are places of comfort and care…

We see you.
We appreciate you.
And we thank God for the unique ways you reflect His love to others.

Mother’s Day can hold joy, gratitude, celebration, tenderness, and even sorrow all at once. Wherever this day finds you, we pray you know that you are valued, deeply loved, and a blessing to those around you.

Thank you for the countless quiet moments, prayers, encouragement, strength, compassion, and faithfulness that often happen behind the scenes. Your impact reaches farther than you know.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed…” Proverbs 31:28

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us.

This Sunday

This Sunday

 Morning Worship – 11 AM,

This Sunday at SLAC

As we gather this Sunday, we’re looking forward to being together as a church family—worshipping, learning, and following where God is leading.

Join us in a time of worship through music, lifting our voices together and creating space to refocus our hearts on Him.

Pastor Heath will continue our series in Acts, When the Spirit Moves, the Church Acts, with this week’s message:
“Sin City” (Acts 18:1-28).

For families, Kids’ Ministries are available during the service, with Nursery for newborns to age 5 and Kids’ Church for ages 6–11. Children will be dismissed after the music portion of the service.

If someone has been on your heart lately, this could be a great Sunday to invite them to join you.

We’re grateful for each of you and look forward to gathering this Sunday again.
