This SundayMorning Worship – 11 AM, This Sunday at SLACAs we gather this Sunday, we’re looking forward to being together as a church family—worshipping, learning, and following where God is leading. Join us in a time of worship through music, lifting our voices together and creating space to refocus our hearts on Him. Pastor Heath will continue our series in Acts, When the Spirit Moves, the Church Acts, with this week’s message: For families, Kids’ Ministries are available during the service, with Nursery for newborns to age 5 and Kids’ Church for ages 6–11. Children will be dismissed after the music portion of the service. If someone has been on your heart lately, this could be a great Sunday to invite them to join you. We’re grateful for each of you and look forward to gathering this Sunday again. For more infomation visit:

Acts in Everyday Life
Last Sunday, we were reminded of something simple but powerful: Encouragement Matters. Throughout Acts 20, Paul intentionally invested in people. He encouraged churches, spent time with others, gave generously, travelled great distances, and made people a priority. Encouragement wasn't something Paul did when it was convenient. It was part of who he was. If we're honest, many of us know encouragement is important, but busyness often gets in the way. Work, family responsibilities, schedules, and endless distractions can leave little room for noticing the people around us. Yet encouragement doesn't always require grand gestures. Sometimes encouragement looks like a phone call. A text message. A conversation over coffee. A visit. A prayer. A simple reminder that someone is seen, valued, and loved. This week, consider this question: Who might need encouragement from me today? You may never know how much a small act of kindness or a few thoughtful words could mean to someone who is struggling, weary, or simply feeling forgotten. Let's not fall asleep on encouragement. |

Tiny Practice
THE ENCOURAGEMENT CHALLENGE Choose one person this week and intentionally encourage them. Send a text. Don't wait until it's convenient. Take one small action that lets someone know they matter. Then pay attention to what happens, not only in their life, but in yours as well. Encouragement is often a gift that blesses both the giver and the receiver. |

June Office Hours Update
As we move into the summer season, we'd like to share a few important updates regarding ministry and office availability over the next few weeks. Pastor Heath will be away from June 8 through June 23 as he attends the Christian & Missionary Alliance General Assembly and enjoys some vacation time. We are grateful for opportunities such as General Assembly, where Alliance pastors from across Canada gather for worship, encouragement, prayer, and ministry updates. During the week of June 15 through June 23, the church office will not be regularly staffed. However, please be assured that phone messages and email will continue to be monitored regularly, and we will respond as promptly as possible. A reminder as well that our June 14 worship service will not be livestreamed. During that service, we will be sharing a video message as part of our worship gathering. We look forward to worshipping together in person that Sunday. Thank you for your understanding and support. Please continue to pray for Pastor Heath as he travels, participates in General Assembly, and enjoys a time of rest and renewal. We look forward to gathering together throughout the summer and seeing how God continues to work in our church family. |
