This Sunday at SLAC
As we gather this Thanksgiving weekend, we look forward to another Sunday of worship, fellowship, and growing together in faith. Please note two important changes to this Sunday's schedule:
All other regular Sunday morning activities will continue as usual, including Nursery and Kids’ Church. At 11:00 AM, we'll gather for Sunday Morning Worship. With Pastor Heath away this weekend, we'll be taking a short break from our Called to Be series to share a special video message: How a Heart of Gratitude Changes Your Life As we celebrate Thanksgiving, this message invites us to reflect on the power of gratitude and how a thankful heart can shape our perspective, our relationships, and our everyday lives. We hope you'll join us in person as we worship together and take time to give thanks for God's goodness and faithfulness. Nursery and Kids’ Church are available during the service. Children will remain with their families for the opening portion of worship and will be dismissed to their ministries before the message. Nursery: Ages 0–3 Who’s one person you could invite to sit beside you this Sunday? Sometimes belonging begins with a simple invitation. For more infomation visit: |

Kids' Ministry Check-In
We want Sunday mornings to be safe, simple and welcoming for every child joining us in Nursery or Kids’ Church. Our ministry age groups are: Nursery • Ages 0–3 Checking InPre-service check-in begins at 10:30 AM at the Connection Desk. We ask all parents and guardians to check in at the Connection Desk before their child heads to Nursery or Kids’ Church. Even if your family has checked in before, please take a moment to make sure the information we have for your child is complete and correct. Birthdates are especially important. Your child’s date of birth helps our check-in system identify the appropriate ministry room for their age, so please make sure we have an accurate birthdate on file. Children attending Kids’ Church will begin the morning in the sanctuary with their families and will be dismissed before the message. When it’s time to head to their ministry area, please escort your child to their room rather than sending them on their own. Nursery is located downstairs. If it’s your child’s first time with us, welcome! Our Connection Desk team will help you complete the information we need, so our ministry leaders can care for your child well. We’re looking forward to another Sunday of learning, growing and having fun together! |

Midweek Bible StudyWednesday, October 14, 2026 We're excited to introduce a new Midweek Morning Bible Study this fall! We'll gather each Wednesday morning to study God's Word together, share meaningful discussion, pray, and encourage one another. This fall, we'll begin by studying Paul's letter to the Philippians, exploring this encouraging New Testament letter together and considering what it teaches us about following Jesus in everyday life. Whether you've been part of a Bible study for years or you're taking your first step into a small group setting, everyone is welcome. We look forward to opening God's Word, learning from one another, and growing together this fall. For more infomation visit: http://slavelakealliance.com/events/midweek-bible-study/2026-10-07 |

Instead of just watching one unfold?
Something special is taking shape at SLAC this Christmas, and we're looking for a few creative minds and willing hands to help bring it to life! We're preparing a unique Advent journey and Christmas Eve celebration, and we'd love to invite you to be part of the team that makes it happen. Whether you enjoy storytelling, acting, planning, organizing, creating props, working behind the scenes, or simply bringing ideas to life, there's room for you! No experience required. No age limits. No particular talents necessary. Just a willingness to participate, a little imagination, and a heart for sharing the Christmas story in a meaningful way. We're keeping a few details under wraps for now, but we promise there's something worth being part of! Curious? We'd love to hear from you! Speak with Tracey directly or email tracey@slavelakealliance.com to learn more or join the Christmas planning team. Sometimes the most memorable parts of Christmas are the ones we create together. |
