This Sunday

This Sunday

 Morning Worship – 11 AM,

This Sunday at SLAC

This Sunday: We’re closing out Grace Church Houston’s Stress Less series with the final message, “Stress & Seeking” by Pastor Garrett Booth. It’s a timely reminder of how Jesus invites us to move from stressing to truly seeking Him first.

There will be no livestream this week, so join us in person for the full experience and a message that speaks right into the start of a new year.

Our Sunday Morning Study Group meets at 9:30 AM and continues the walk through the book of Ephesians. Everyone is welcome to join, whether you’re familiar with the Bible or just starting to explore it.

During the service, Kids’ Ministries will be available after the music:

  • Kids’ Church (ages 6–11)

  • Nursery (ages 0–5)

We invite you to join us this Sunday as we worship together and continue discovering how the Spirit leads the Church to live and act.

Christmas Undecorating

Christmas Undecorating

After the Service – Undecorating Party
It’s time to tuck Christmas away for another year! After the service this Sunday, we’ll be taking down the décor throughout the building, and we’d love a few extra hands.

If you’re able to stay for a little bit, your help will make a big difference. Many hands really do lighten the load, and this is a simple, practical way to serve our church family as we step into a new season.

New Start Date! Love and Respect

New Start Date! Love and Respect

New Small Group Beginning January 18

We’re excited to be offering Love & Respect once again, beginning Sunday, January 18, from 1:30–3:00 PM. This 12-week small group is designed to help strengthen marriages and relationships by exploring the core needs we all carry into them: love and respect.

Whether you’re newly married, have been together for decades, or simply want to grow in understanding and communication, this study offers practical, biblical insight into how we relate to one another in everyday life. Many will remember this study from 2023, and we’re looking forward to walking through it again together.

Please note: the start date has been revised from what was previously announced. The group will begin next Sunday, January 18.

A Note of Thanks

A Note of Thanks

A huge thank-you to our church family for your patience and good humour as we continue troubleshooting our occasionally dramatic projector. We know it likes to take surprise intermissions at the worst possible moments, and we’re working hard to get to the bottom of it.

Your grace, smiles, and willingness to roll with it mean more than you know. Thanks for sticking with us as we keep chasing a stable signal and a smoother Sunday experience!

Financial Update

Financial Update

Thank you, church family, for your faithfulness and generosity this past month. In December, we received $27,861 in income and had $16,200 in expenses. Your giving continues to create room for ministry, care, and growth in our church and community.

We’re grateful for every gift and every heart behind it. Let’s keep moving forward together with hope and expectation for what God will do in 2026.

Where Might God Be Inviting You to Serve?

Where Might God Be Inviting You to Serve?

Last Sunday’s message reminded us that calling often begins with noticing needs and responding with willingness. Not everyone is called to the same role, but each of us has something to offer.

Right now, there are a few areas where extra hands would be a blessing:

  • Welcoming others as an usher or greeter

  • Supporting our Kids’ Ministries as a helper

  • Assisting with potlucks and shared meals that help build community

If you’ve been praying about where you might serve, this could be a gentle place to start. There’s no pressure, just an open invitation to explore how God might use you to encourage others.

If you’re interested or would like more information, please contact the church office by emailing info@slavelakealliance.com or calling Monday–Wednesday, 8:30 AM–11:30 AM.
