Who’s it for?
SLAC Youth is for students in Grades 7–12 from our church and throughout the Slave Lake community. Whether you’ve grown up in church, are completely new, have questions about faith, or simply want a place to connect with other teens, you’re welcome here.
Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming community where youth can build genuine friendships, have fun together, explore what it means to follow Jesus, and know they have a place where they belong.
What’s happening this year?
For the 2026–2027 ministry year, our regular Youth gatherings will continue, with an exciting addition beginning this fall: Alpha Youth!
ALPHA YOUTH | Beginning in October
Sunday evenings • Every other week • Twice a month
Alpha Youth creates space for young people to explore the big questions of life, faith, purpose, and Jesus through connection, engaging content, and honest conversation.
Each Alpha gathering includes time to connect and have fun, followed by content designed specifically for young people and an opportunity to talk about what they’ve heard. There’s no pressure to have the “right” answers. Youth are welcome to share what they think, ask questions, or simply listen.
Alpha is also a great opportunity to bring a friend. Youth don't need to attend our church or already know what they believe to take part.

MONTHLY YOUTH EVENTS
Once a month • Sunday evenings • 6:00–8:00 PM
Our regular monthly Youth events aren't going anywhere!
These evenings are built around fun, friendship, faith, and community. Gatherings may include games, activities and special events at the church or other locations, followed by snacks and time together to talk about life and faith and to pray together.
