Yesterday in our Sunday service, we watched “Stress Less: Stress & Strength” (Part 2 of the Stress Less series) from Grace Church Houston.
This message speaks to a reality many of us feel: stress is unavoidable, but we don’t face it alone. The teaching centers on Isaiah 40:31 and God’s promise that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. It explores what it means to “wait” in a biblical sense, not passive or stuck, but hopeful, attentive, and steady, staying close to God and refusing to abandon our post when life feels heavy.
A few key takeaways from the message:
Stress strikes at our strength, but God offers renewal when we lean into Him.
Waiting on God looks like placing our hope in Him, keeping our focus on Him, and staying ready to act when He leads.
God renews our strength for real life: strength to soar, strength to run, and strength to walk faithfully, one step at a time.
