Stress Less (Part 2): Stress & Strength

Yesterday in our Sunday service, we watched “Stress Less: Stress & Strength” (Part 2 of the Stress Less series) from Grace Church Houston.

This message speaks to a reality many of us feel: stress is unavoidable, but we don’t face it alone. The teaching centers on Isaiah 40:31 and God’s promise that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. It explores what it means to “wait” in a biblical sense, not passive or stuck, but hopeful, attentive, and steady, staying close to God and refusing to abandon our post when life feels heavy.

A few key takeaways from the message:

  • Stress strikes at our strength, but God offers renewal when we lean into Him.

  • Waiting on God looks like placing our hope in Him, keeping our focus on Him, and staying ready to act when He leads.

  • God renews our strength for real life: strength to soar, strength to run, and strength to walk faithfully, one step at a time.
