So What Happens At Emerging Leaders?!

Because WE LOVE GOD and CARE about PEOPLE, Slave Lake Alliance Church has created a place to CARE for our LEADERS and their spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Emerging Leaders is a place where members of our church family meet to support one another as servants and leaders of the various ministries in our Church. At Slave Lake Alliance Church our leaders are often working alone serving in different areas ( music, tech, sound booth, elder, WHODAT, Sunday school, youth, board member, etc).

Emerging Leaders holds a meeting once a month where we come together to plan, problem solve, and share ideas. It also enables us to work together on common themes during various times of the year. We get to share with each other how things are going and be more informed about what is happening in each of the different ministries that function under our unified core mission and vision! We are seeking to provide strength, encouragement and comfort (1 Cor 14:3) to our church ministry leaders so they can help our Church (1 Cor 14:5). Our intention is see our church grow stronger (1 Cor 14:12). Our meetings are open to everyone. If you are serving in an area of ministry already or would like to learn about serving in our church please join us.

WHAT DOES A MEETING LOOK LIKE?

Our meetings take place in the pastor’s office at the church. They start at 7 pm and last 60 -90 minutes. We start with introductions and take part in a short activity that focuses on an area of leadership development. We believe in the value of open dialogue and discussion, an opportunity to be heard and to listen to others as we share about the progress, initiatives, hardships and struggles of our role as leaders. We share what is happening in our ministries so others can pray and support and offer help.  We end our time together by sharing how we are doing spiritually and spend time praying for one another and our church ministries.

OCTOBER

This month we will help one another find ways to bring gratitude into the makeup of our ministries.  We will also look at our relationship between prayer and gratitude.

Coming soon....personal testimonies from some of our Emerging Leaders!
