Senior Pastor Ministry Opportunity
SLAVE LAKE ALLIANCE CHURCH
Because we love God and care about people, we are compelled to address
the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of our church and community.
We are in search of a man led by God to serve in a solo ministry position in Slave Lake Alliance Church (SLAC). Our church is a part of the Western Canadian District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. We are located in the town of Slave Lake about 2 1/2 hours north west of Edmonton. The town itself has a population of about 6700 people. Since it serves a large geographical area, it has significantly more amenities than many communities its size including schools, shopping, healthcare and a wide variety of recreational opportunities.
The average Sunday morning attendance since September of last year is 89. Our congregational demographic includes all ages with a number of young families and a strong children's Ministry. Our church has a strong relationship component to its ministry and we are looking for that to continue and to grow. We are looking for a Pastor and his family who are willing to spend a number of years growing with us in the ministry that the Holy Spirit is leading us into.
SLAC has been involved in a transitional process since August 2017. This process has involved surveys, formal and informal discussions, congregational meetings and much prayer asking the Spirit to guide us. A number of documents have been created that will help the potential candidate to understand where we have come from, who we are and in what direction we believe the Spirit is leading us. These documents are available to potential candidates by following the instructions at the end of this page. Check us out at www.slavelakealliance.com
