Support Opportunities for Our Church Family

Support Opportunities for Our Church Family

Our church community thrives on love and support for one another, especially during times of need.

Supporting Ray and Miriam Ost

As many of you know, Ray Ost is currently in the hospital, and Miriam is faithfully staying by his side. Many of you have asked how you can help ease their financial burden during this challenging time. Financial support can be made to the church's benevolent fund, specifically designated for Ray and Mariam.

To contribute:

  • E-transfer: Send your donation to finance@slavelakealliance.com
  • Note: Please specify that your donation is for the Ost family.

Thank you for your continued generosity and love as we support each other through these times. Your kindness and contributions make a significant difference.

Update from the Ost Family

Update from the Ost Family

Dear church family
Thank you very much for all the prayers and love you have shown us.
We definitely feel the prayers of God's Saints lifting us up.

Ray has had a very rough 2 weeks.
After 11 days on the ventilator, they performed a tracheotomy on Thursday, May 23.
Ray was finally able to sit up for an hour this afternoon. (Saturday)
The next big step is for Ray to be able to be weaned off the machine and to be able to have the cap put on the trach that will allow him to speak. They tried it on Friday, and his blood pressure skyrocketed, so they quickly took him off.

Ray is progressing slowly but in the right direction.
Ray will be in ICU for another week at least, and then he will go to the fourth floor for hopefully only a few weeks.

I am so very thankful to be here in the Mazankowski for his treatment. This is a fantastic facility with the best staff and resources available.  I know it's easy for us to whine and complain and snivel about our health care system but we are very very fortunate indeed to live in this country.

I am doing OK.  I am extremely tired. But I am well taken care of. I have friends and family members that keep bringing me everything from fresh fruit to casseroles to turmeric/ ginger shots. Apparently they want me to stay healthy.

We love  you and miss you.
God Bless you all
